Chapleau Village

The following Bowles family is listed in the
1901 Census of Chapleau Village, Algoma county
 
He is listed as an Engineer.  Chapleau was quite small but it was founded as a station on the Canadian Pacific Railroad line in 1885 so Mark was probably a train engineer.  Also, the photo below has train tracks in the background.
