The 1901 Census of Dunnville village includes a widow Mary Boles remarried to a James Vanslack.  Living with them are her children Lottie, Edward, Frank, Mable and Gordon Boles and another stepson Robert Robison.  While Mary gives her origin as Scottish, the children are Irish so Mr. Boles was Irish in origin.  1901 Census
