Note: this is the story of the descendants of a London merchant, Leonard Bowles of Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire who settled in The Bahamas in about 1760, as researched by Carl Peter Carroll of Abaco, The Bahamas with web layout and publishing assistance from Tom LaPorte.

The origin of this line is told in The Bowles of Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire.
