Bowles in the Royalist Navy During the Commonwealth

I have just started researching this subject but there are some very interesting indications that a Bowles actively supported the monarchy during the Commonwealth period.  I'm not certain at this point whether he had been an English Naval Officer or a maritime merchant prior to the Parliamentary Revolution.
