 (served as Commissioner for 3 counties  for Lord Thomas Cromwell under Henry VIII; acquired Priory of Felley 1538, sold it for a profit, acquired Oxton, Osberton, Hardwick and Worksop from Robert Dighton in 1540; received pardon from Queen Mary in 1554 as William Bolles of Felley alias late of Osberton alias late of Adenburgh alias late of London, gentleman; applied and was granted the right for his sons to return to the Haugh arms in 1575 (at age 80))
