In the name of god Amen, I, Tobias Bowles, of the Parish of St. Philip, in the state aforesaid Esquire, do make this my last will and Testament, in Manner following, I give to Mrs. Ann Drayton Perry, widow of Edward Perry, Jun. deceased, my Negroes Ameretta, Amelia & Bess, with their Issue to be hers after the date of this my Will, I give to Edward my friend Mrs. Sarah Winstanley, my Negroe girl named Mary, with her issue to be born Drayton Perry, son of the said Ann Drayton Perry, My Negroes John & Abraham, I give to after the date of this my Will. I give my friend Richard Perry, son of Joseph Perry, deceased, the Sum of four hundred pounds Sterling & whatever sum he May owe me for advances or Disbursements Made by me as Executor of his Father’s Will, for him or on his account, and I direct my Executrix & Executor to give him a release of discharge for such advances &
disbursements. I give to Miss Susanna Perry the sum of Fifty pounds Sterling, I give to my Friend Thomas Winstanley one hundred pounds Sterling & a suit of Mourning, I give to my Friend Thomas Bampfield A Suit of Mourning. It is my Will that the Pecuniary Legacies aforesaid be Paid out of the Monies due, or to grow due to me. I give all my Bank Shares, Monies at Interest, Houses, lands & Slaves & the issue of the Females to be born after the date of my will & all other My Estate of what Nature or kind soever, except as hereinafter Mentioned, to My Mother in Law, Mrs. Rebecca Drayton, her Heirs & assigns forever. On Condition that she, her Executors or administrators, do & shall with three Months after my decease, in due form of Law, emancipate & set free My Slaves Named Harriet, Thirza, Auba & Kit & the issue of the Females to be born after the date of this my Will & I vest the
said slaves & their said issue in the said Rebecca Drayton, Executors & Administrators, for the Purpose aforesaid; And in Case the Slaves & their issue as aforesaid shall not be emancipated within the time limited a aforesaid, then the Device & Bequest aforesaid to the said Rebecca Drayton & every Part thereof, shall be void & of none effect. Lastly I appoint the said Rebecca Drayton & my
Friend Thomas Winstanley Executrix & Executor of this my Will, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made, in Witness whereof I have hereunto set My hand & Seal this thirteenth day October one thousand eight hundred & seven.

Signed, Sealed, Published, Pronounced & declared by the testator to be his last will & Testament in the Presence of us, who in his Presence& and in the Presence of each other, have at his request signed our named as Witnesses hereto.
