Ireland Civil Registration records list the Boal family in the
Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy (Boles) and Stranorlar districts. Note that
these districts are quite large areas based on the Poor law Union
boundaries and often covered areas which crossed into neighboring
counties. The name of the district was not necessarily the largest town
in the area, it was only the location of the PLU's workhouse and
